What Is Land Balancing?

Land balancing moves soil from high areas of a site to low areas so cuts and fills match. A balanced site reaches plan grades while minimizing the cost of trucking dirt in or out — often one of the biggest savings available on a project.

Part of a Complete Site Package

Excavation and grading flow directly into our underground utilities, parking lot and concrete and demolition services, so one team manages the entire site.

FAQ

Common Questions

Do you do excavation for new homes?

Yes. We excavate basements and foundations, clear lots, grade for drainage and install driveways and utility connections for new homes and additions.

What is the difference between rough grading and fine grading?

Rough grading moves large amounts of soil to approximate final elevations. Fine grading brings the surface to exact plan elevations so pavement, slabs and landscaping drain correctly.
